Pretty self-explanatory.

I liked 'Being a Biologist' by Jan Janovy (sp?)
Lives of The Cell was good too.

Pilgrim at Tinker Creek had a *few* memorable passages.

I read "Pilgrim at Tinker Creek" too long ago to remember anything specific, but I remember that I enjoyed reading it.

Have you read "The Way of the Cell" by Franklin Harold?

How about "Advice for a Young Investigator" by Ramon y Cajal?

Summer is almost over! I know you want to take one of these books to the beach with you!

I haven't read "Being a Biologist", I'm going to put that one on my list. Thanks for your post, Randy

PS In "Advice for a young Investigator" Cajal mentions several "diseases of the will", one of which is reading too much, make of that what you will.....

...interesting, have you read my profile?

Yeah, Timker Creek isn't too bad, it does seem a little pretentious sometimes though but it's well worth the brilliant moments.

      Thanks for the suggestions.

        Classic.

And I also think reading is a sort of escapism...that's what i meant by the 'have you read my profile' thing.

        :)

Someone suggested I read Popper...Karl Popper I guess.
Isn't there someone more down-to-Earth or at least modern / relevant I could read
for my 'big questions in Biology' needs?
